Mitch Matthews

Born and raised on a small farm in Davie County, North Carolina. Mitch started taking leadership roles in his teen years and was involved in the church his entire life. He has a BA in Business Administration from Catawba College and a Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mitch spent over 33 years as a Social Worker, Trainer, and Administrator in local government and retired from Guilford County Department of Social Services in 2004. He then spent several years providing professional training across North Carolina for local government agencies. Mitch is a member of Pleasant Garden United Methodist Church and has been a Lay Servant and teacher for over 30 years. Mitch has written short puppet scripts for the Children’s Time weekly since 2002 and published a book of puppet scripts.
